Power Adapter Change due to Upgraded Equipment

Dear NTInet Customer,

In an effort to provide better service, we have upgraded the NTInet equipment located on the outside of your home. To complete the upgrade, you will need to swap out the power supply located in your home. When you swap out the power supply, your internet will start working again. Directions for swapping out your power supply are listed below. If you have any issues, please call our Internet Support Line.

 

  • Identify the type of power supply you have. (See Old Power Supply Picture Below)

  • Move the cable coming from our outside equipment to the port labeled POE on the new power supply. (Cable colors will be different on your equipment)
    1. (Old Black Power Supply) - The cable coming from the outside will be connected to “Out” port on the black power supply. (Blue cable in our picture)
    2. (Old White Power Supply) - The cable coming from the outside will be connected to the “Data & Power Out” port. (Blue cable in our picture)
  • Move the cable going to your computer or router to the LAN port on the new power supply.
    1. (Old Black Power Supply) - The cable going to your router or pc will be connected to “In” port on the black power supply. (Yellow cable in our picture)
    2. (Old White Power Supply) - The cable going to your router or pc will be connected to the “Data In” port. (Yellow cable in our picture)
  • Connect the new power supply to a power outlet and test your internet connection after about 2 minutes
