Questions about the APC Program
The ACP is a government assistance program that helps connect households to the internet they need for work, healthcare, school and more. Qualifying households are eligible for free or low-cost internet service through credits up to $30 per month—up to $75 per month if your household is on qualifying Tribal lands.
Lifeline is a government assistance program which provides eligible low-income subscribers an opportunity to receive the Lifeline benefit on certain voice and broadband Internet access services. Like ACP, the Lifeline benefit is nontransferable, only eligible consumers may enroll in the program, and the program is limited to one Lifeline benefit per household.
If you currently receive a Lifeline benefit, you automatically qualify for the ACP, and you can receive both benefits at the same time. Both benefits can be applied to the same qualifying service or separately with the same or different providers. For example, an eligible household could have a Lifeline-supported wireless phone service and a separate home internet service that is supported through the Affordable Connectivity Program.
To apply for the Affordable Connectivity Program, you need to go to https://www.affordableconnectivity.gov to get certified by the FCC National Verifier and qualify for the ACP. Once approved, you must accept the enrollment acknowledgment in our ACP form.
You will receive a confirmation from the National Verifier with approved status.
You must qualify for the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) in order to participate in the Frontier Essentials Internet Program.
• You must be certified by the FCC National Verifier prior to eligibility of the Frontier Essentials Internet offer.
• Frontier must receive the enrollment acknowledgment acceptance.
• You must re-certify your eligibility for the ACP annually.
Once you’ve enrolled in the ACP, your monthly rate will be reduced up to $30 federal subsidy off the rate plan you choose for your internet subscription. This service is non-contractual and does not have a term agreement.
Additional products including Digital Phone are not included in this program and will be billed as an additional monthly charge if you choose to buy them.
Once approved it can take up to one billing cycle for the credit to appear on your bill.
The funding of ACP will continue for as long as it's federally approved. NTInet will notify its participating members if the program is scheduled to end.
